Bail fail: Study shows that repeat crime INCREASED in New York because of justice ‘reforms’

"...a new study of bail reform outside New York City — suburbs and upstate — prepared by John Jay College of Criminal Justice’s Data Collaborative for Justice shows that 66% of the people released under bail reform who had a recent prior arrest were re-arrested within two years of their release ."

HERO POLICE OFFICER RISKS HIS LIFE AND RESCUES 10-year old boy from fire

Officer Richard Senese was able to find a way into the home and quickly encountered heavy smoke. Despite the life threatening fire, he located the boy and brought him to safety. Both were treated for smoke inhalation.

A Long Island town says it will gladly welcome the latest potential victims of New York City’s cancel culture: statues of historical figures such as George Washington and Christopher Columbus.

Brookhaven officials said they already even have spots picked out for the statues — and will cover the cost of dismantling and shipping them.

“You know, I didn’t want to comment on whether that was right or wrong because that’s a decision of the city. But I said, ‘If you’re going to do that, hey, we’ll take the statues,’ ” Town Supervisor Edward Romaine told The Post on Tuesday.

Suffolk Police Rescue Woman Who Drove Into Forge River In Mastic

MASTIC, NY — A woman who drove her BMW into a river in Mastic was saved by five Suffolk police officers on Tuesday.

A 53-year-old Shirley woman was driving a 2016 BMW i3 eastbound on Hampton Avenue when her vehicle went through a guardrail at the intersection with Riviera Drive and landed in the Forge River at 1:13 p.m., police said.

Seventh Precinct Officers Thomas Ciota, Sean Roche, Steven Rathjen, Michael Magioncalda, and Ryan Kelly went into the river and pulled the woman from her BMW.
